Granada boasts numerous well-preserved examples of exquisite Moorish architecture, not the least of which is the Alhambra, an ancient citadel and royal palace.
Kick off your visit on the 1st (Sat): take a stroll through Sacromonte. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: see the sky in a new way at Science Park (Parque de las Ciencias) and then explore the stunning scenery at Los Cahorros.

Andalucía’s thousand-year-old city, Córdoba, was once the capital of both the Roman Empire and the Moorish Kingdom, representing an alluring mix of cultural and political history.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Mon): examine the collection at Casa de las Cabezas- Patios de Leyenda, take in the spiritual surroundings of Mezquita-Catedral De Cordoba, and then admire the striking features of Posada del Potro. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: meet the residents at Zoo Cordoba, then wander the streets of Jewish Quarter (Juderia), then make a trip to Puerta del Almodovar, and finally examine the collection at Galeria de la Inquisicion-Europa Siglos XIII al XIX.

Drive from Granada to Cordoba in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. When traveling from Granada in December, plan for somewhat warmer days in Cordoba, with highs around 19°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 4°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Wed) to allow time to take a train to Seville.

A city of rich Moorish heritage, Seville is the cultural and financial center of southern Spain, and the site of numerous festivals throughout the year.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Wed): contemplate the long history of Museo Palacio de la Condesa de Lebrija, ride a horse along Centro Ecuestre Entrepinares, and then wander the streets of Barrio Santa Cruz.
