The world's largest urban zoo, Bronx Zoo displays more than 650 different species from across the globe--about 6,000 animals in total. The 107 hectare (265 acre) park features numerous sections and regional themes, including Wild Asia, Madagascar, African Plains, the World of Monkeys, and Tiger Mountain. You'll find a colony of critically endangered western lowland gorillas in their jungle habitat in the Congo Gorilla Forest, which showcases the zoo's commitment to conservation and provides residents with spacious outdoor enclosures. Check the zoo's online events schedule for animal feedings, zookeeper talks, and enrichment activities. I haven't been to this zoo in YEARS but it is really good. I've been in the entire zoo,and the animals are amazing. They are well kept and the food is quite good. Yes,it's pricey, but it's worth it...

This Zoo was amazing! I loved how open and spacious everything was. The animals truly had room to move and live. Yes some of them were hard to see, but animal welfare comes first here, and I appreciate that. We went on a Saturday and even though it was full when we came in, the crowd was never a problem. I would highly recommend the full experience. Jungle World and the Congo experiences were amazing! And you get souvenir cups which were free to refill on the day we were there. I would highly recommend this Zoo and I would say that you need to carve out a significant amount of time to explore. We will definitely be back when our son can walk a little better so he can experience it too.
Went with my family and friends this past weekend and had a great time ! So glad we have such an awesome place to being our children to to learn about animals and nature . There are so many fun things to do from zip lining to an animated dinosaur safari. Can't wait to go back during the holidays and see the zoo all decked out !
