Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles

Welcome to another sensational summer of live music, moments and memories that will last for many many years to come.

As Cal Phil begins its 22nd year as a popular Southern California institution, it is with tremendous pride and humility that I take the time to reflect on the past, appreciate the present and anticipate the future.

Cal Phil’s passion and commitment to the music and to you, our treasured audience, has continued to grow every year since our very first concert more than two decades ago.

As a conductor, I strive for the “art of recreation” not interpretation. So unlike most conductors who alter great works with their own perceptions, through much research and care I always try to follow the composers intended meanings as closely as possible.

I am humbled by the honor of conducting our world-class musicians and special guests in what is now Cal Phil’s 15th remarkable season at The Music Center’s iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall; by far one of the world’s most beautiful and acoustically superior music venues.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support.

From fans who have become like family over the years, to people who are possibly experiencing the wonder of classical music for the first time through fresh eyes, and ears, you are all an integral part of the magic we make!
