  • Incredible customer service. Just left for an overnight trip. Will update when we return from our fishing journey. Update: overnight trip was a success! It was slow fishing but we all got something to reel in. The regulars were gracious and friendly. Not entitled and mean like some of the other outfits I’ve gone with. The captain and crew were nice and helpful. Shout out to Shawn who cooked and kept us well fed. After buying all the food I wanted and tipping, it was only an extra $100 on top of the ticket price. I’ll be back on this ship for years to come.
  • Went out on the Pursuit on a full day trip. It took 2.5 hours to get to Catalina Island. The boat was packed with 75 people with little elbow room. We spent most of our time untangling our lines. The captain spent most of the entire trip driving around the island. We stopped at one spot where most of us caught 4 fish each. Then the captain decided to go drive around chasing yellow tails. How can you fish for yellow tails when you have 75 lines tangling each other? At 3:30 PM, we decided to make the slow trek back to port. It took 3 hours. Got back to port at 6:30 PM. Good business for the captain. Bad for customers who paid good money to go fishing, only to drive around the island and returned back to port with 4 little fish.
