The reef lies 27 m (89 ft) from shore and, because the beach hasn't been developed for tourism, it remains largely unspoiled. See schools of colorful tropical fish swimming around the interesting coral formations. Back on dry land, the beach has a good amount of shade from native plant life, meaning you'll be able to cool off after a long snorkeling trip. Absolutely perfect place to spend a few hours! Snorkeling is wonderful (easy calm waters to swim in) and beach not crowded. The north and east sides of the island were having a huge seaweed problem, so we drove an hour to get here - well worth it! There are no public restrooms or shower facilities here like on some of the other public beaches.

I enjoyed a quick two hours of power out here snorkeling. Beautiful water, good crowd and some really decent snorkeling about 150 ft out. I think it's a great spot if you want beautiful water and a little less busy atmosphere than 7 mile Beach with a good little reef to hang out at.
