  • Photography is not allowed in most parts of the museum so it’s difficult to judge beforehand. If you are interested in modern art then this is at least a one time visit. I visited the regular section (no extra payment for the temporary display) and spend around an hour inside. The dog exhibit is probably the best one. In the winter, you can’t go out in the courtyard of the dog exhibit due to the snow. PS: You can get a discount at Sannai Maruyama site if you show this ticket.
  • 2022.08 Easily can spend half a day here at the museum, with a good collection of Yayoi Kusama and Yoshitomo Nara ! The cafe serves good lunch at reasonable price, plus Sannai Maruyama ruins is at walking distance, this can be a full day excursion in Aomori ~
