Before the Seikan tunnel opened in the late 1980s, ferries used to connect Hokkaido and Honshu, as commemorated by Seikan Ferry Memorial Ship Hakkodamaru.   • A great, well-maintained museum that displays how people and cargo moved between Honshu and Hokkaido before the Seaikan Tunnel opened. One can visit nearly all areas of the ship, including the bridge, the captain's compartment and the engine room. In one of the lower decks, there are some rare rolling stock on display too.
  • Awesome experience inside Hokkado Maru Meuseum. Lots of cool stuffs to see and know about. Nice views from captain deck as well.
