Set in a striking, greenhouse-style structure, Aquamarine Fukushima gives visitors a comprehensive overview of life in the ocean through a variety of living and preserved displays. The complex features aesthetically pleasing aquariums filled with abundant and colorful fish, as well as larger mammalian sea-dwellers. One enclosure even features a glass walkway going into the tank, allowing for an underwater aspect on the animals. Along with the aquariums, the complex offers exhibits on extinct and prehistoric species, including a preserved example of one of the first known fish, the coelacanth. Those looking for a little more than just ocean life are in luck, as the facility also boasts an in-depth botanical garden on the third floor. You can finish your experience by relaxing in the cafe, with tables looking through the glass and out over the harbor. Using our custom trip planner, Iwaki attractions like Aquamarine Fukushima can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

Nice variety of local and tropical environments. Informative for older children, tropical fish for young children to follow, relaxing for adults.

Excellent aquarium. so much to see! Most signs had English as well so that was very helpful. Will be back again!
After the destruction by Great East Japan Earthquake, this aquamarine park made a great effort to revive & it's so nice to witness their operation back to almost normal. There is a sushi bar looking over fishes in a big glass exhibition tank...so funny situation😂
