The heart of a picturesque fishing village, Centro Historico de Albufeira basks in a traditional atmosphere accentuated with whitewashed walls and cobbled streets. Wander through narrow alleys lined with craft shops and street vendors selling souvenirs, then take a seat and people-watch at one of the bars or restaurants surrounding the quaint central square. Taste some of the local cuisine or sip a drink while cheering on the local soccer team. In the evening, live music fills the streets, and many clubs open stands with male and female dancers in the doorways. • One of the best nights of the holiday. Late afternoon stroll around the old town. Stopping off for a few drinks n food along the way until the sun had dropped. Kids loved it all too.

  • Such a lovely place to relax and enjoy the ambience. The square, partially surrounded by bars and restaurants, is lovely especially when live music is being played and its great to be able to sit back, enjoy a few drinks in the sunshine whilst listening to the music and watching the world pass slowly by. The quaint side streets host a wide variety of local shops, which are a pleasure to browse through. The wider precinct is home to more modern shops and easily accessible. The views from the each front restaurants are breath taking, especially at sunset. All in all, a lovely place to visit and relax
  • Great place, great restaurants and pubs. Very busy, safe. Lovely beach and great place for swim, although it gets deep a little out from the shore. You have the best of all worlds in Albufeira, with lively old town, close to shops etc and quiet at night. Hot (30+) and not a drop of rain in ten days/nights. Watched the All Ireland Football Final in one of a number of Irish pubs in the town with streamed RTE coverage which was good.
