Once the booming capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the tropical paradise of Lahaina still remains one of Maui's top vacation attractions, providing both culture and recreation.
Kick off your visit on the 29th (Fri): whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, admire nature's wide array of creatures at Maui Ocean Center, and then walk around Lahaina Banyan Court. Keep things going the next day: pause for some photo ops at Lahaina Jodo Mission, then see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and then stroll through Ka'anapali Beach.

You'll find plenty of places to visit near Honolulu: Pu’u O Mahuka Heiau State Monument (in Pupukea), Kailua Beach Park (in Kailua) and Haleiwa (Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach Park, &more). And it doesn't end there: stroll through Waikiki Beach, steep yourself in history at Battleship Missouri Memorial, trek along Diamond Head State Monument, and contemplate the waterfront views at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve.
