Dine with a view at Stratosphere Tower, the signature attraction of one of the most popular hotels and casinos in Las Vegas. The tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States, the structure reaches a height of 350 m (1,150 ft). The top of the tower offers 360-degree views of the city, perhaps best appreciated at night, when thousands of lights illuminate the famous Strip. Unless you crave a good dose of adrenaline, provided by the tower's two roller coasters and a controlled free-fall attraction, enjoy the panoramic views over a gourmet dinner and cocktails served by the tower's award-winning restaurant. • I enjoyed this mostly because I got to be with my dad and talk about the history of the buildings and talk design with my dad who is an architect.

  • The rooms were mostly clean, the beds were cool and comfortable. The complimentary soaps and shampoos were terrible on my skin and hair, I don't recommend using them. Service was excellent, all the staff were friendly and accommodating, I have ZERO complaints on staff. They deserve a raise for what they have to deal with... My biggest complaint is against corporate, that the main feature of this hotel is not free to hotel guests who are already paying a $35 per night resort fee. I expected to have to pay extra to ride the rides but not to access that entire top area. Yes, it's $20 to ride the elevator to the top, a fact conveniently left off their website. After 2 days there, I was notified by text that it was $5 for hotel guests. I'd recommend to those on a tight budget, because for what I paid, it was pretty good. If you're looking for flat out luxury and decadence, this isn't the place. But if you want a clean, comfortable, secure room to relax after a day of walking the Strip in 100° heat, I would recommend for that. Oh, and I didn't try out the pools, but they have two, one for everyone (only open 10-5) and a top-optional, 21+ pool that's open 24 hours a day.
  • Update: They responded to this post asking me to reach out to their customer support, and then never responded to the multiple emails I sent them, so at least they are consistent in their utter lack of customer service. Original Review: Easily the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. My bag was stolen within 5 minutes of entering this hotel. The security team was responsive, but after confirming that they had video of someone stealing it, they said there’s was nothing they could do, and that this was a common occurrence. Headed to my room and found my keys did not work. Had to go back down to security twice to be let in. Room was fine, but had seen better days. Someone started running an industrial vacuum at around 11 PM. Housekeeping unlocked and tried to enter my room several hours before my check out. It’s an extra charge to go up to the top, despite them surprising you with a $45 a night resort fee upon check out. They sent me a dozen automated texts during my two night stay, one of which was for a pool that was closed (no discount off of the resort fee, however). The check in/check out line was like a ride at Disneyland, and in retrospect my guess is they do that intentionally so you don’t have time to wait and contest any charges. I’ll take my chances sleeping on The Strip before I ever stay here again. It’d certainly be cheaper, and likely safer.
