Admire gymnasts and acrobats showing off their tricks at Original Muscle Beach. Established in the 1930s, the beach first got attention when legendary bodybuilders Joe Gold and Vic Tanny started lifting the weight equipment. Today, the weight equipment is at Venice Beach, but gymnasts and acrobats still come here to train. Bring your camera, but be sure to ask before snapping shots of the athletes in action. The beach and equipment are great. There's plenty to do with rope climbing pull-ups, the ring swings are fun and challenging.
