Walk across one of New York’s most iconic landmarks, Brooklyn Bridge, while admiring breathtaking views of the city skyline. One of the oldest suspension bridges in the country, it spans almost 486 m (1,600 ft) across the East River, connecting the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Take the subway to Brooklyn and walk back along the bridge toward Manhattan for the best views of the city, but not before wandering through the Brooklyn Bridge Park. If you’re hungry, stop for a famous slice of Brooklyn pizza before heading back over the bridge. As a first-timer in NY, I loved this walk. Not only is it free, of course, but you get a terrific view of the landmarks from both sides of the river. Trouble is, everyone else has the same idea, so...

Hey, she's been standing proud since May, 1883, so the bridge speaks for itself! We walked across this bridge for the first time and had a magnificent view of the East River, the New York harbor and the Manhattan skyline. What makes the walk so nice is that there is a raised pedestrian walkway totally void of cars and other vehicles so one can walk peacefully without having to worry with traffic. There was a nice crowd that day; it was a splendid, sunny spring day and the visibility was great. There were lots of artists and vendors that added a bit of spice to the whole experience. I had been wanting to cross the Brooklyn Bridge all my life so we finally got the opportunity and it was nice!

This very long Bridge is such a special extra for your trip in New York. Just walking over it, seeing a lot of people who are taking pictures and stuff. It is really fun just to sit in the sun and see the view from this bridge, the bridge is having a lot of great view spots, so you can see the one world trade center. It is just a great thing, just walking to Brooklyn get some Shake Shack and walk back!
